Pokiyo is developed by Nitesh Patkare (“I,” “me,” or “my”). This policy explains what information Pokiyo collects and how it’s used. By using Pokiyo, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

01 Information I Collect
You provide
- Email and password (for your account)
- Currency and timezone preferences
- Expenses, income, budgets, categories, recurring subscriptions, and goals you enter
I don’t collect
Collected automatically
- Basic device and app usage data (to fix bugs and improve the app)
- Your subscription status (via Apple / Google / RevenueCat)
02 How Insights Work
Pokiyo’s Insights feature is not powered by AI. It’s calculated directly from the numbers you enter, using simple math (totals, averages, trends) — no third-party AI service is used or sees your data.
03 Who I Share Data With
I use a few services to run the app:

I don’t sell your data, and I don’t share it with anyone beyond what’s needed to run the app.
04 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely with Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.
05 Data Retention
I keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where I’m legally required to keep it longer.
06 Your Rights
You can ask me to:
- Show you the data I have about you
- Correct or delete it
- Export it

Depending on where you live (EU/UK, California, Australia, etc.), you may have additional rights under local privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, Australian Privacy Principles, etc.) — I aim to honor these for all users regardless of location.
07 International Users
Your data may be stored on servers outside your country (e.g. in the US, via Firebase). By using Pokiyo, you agree to this.
08 Children’s Privacy
Pokiyo isn’t intended for children under 16. I don’t knowingly collect data from children.
09 Changes to This Policy
If I make significant changes to this policy, I’ll notify you in the app. Continuing to use Pokiyo after changes means you accept the update.
