Shift leaders direct other employees to perform their daily routines and interact with customers to make sure that the customers have a satisfactory experience. Shift leaders perform quality management and ensure customer satisfaction by properly training employees and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Develop positive working relationships with all employees and work as part of a team by assisting others if necessary
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times and speak clearly and listen attentively to customers and employees
- Supervise line servers and prep cooks’ behavior, work performance and customer service
- Opening and closing, such as cashing in & out and unlocking storages and making sure everything is in place
- Communicate with employees effectively in order to ensure exceptional customer service
- Ensure food quality to prevent food poisoning before the opening time
- Control and maintain the sanitation of service area and kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels
- Make sure all the keys are safely kept in the Key Box on the wall
- Ensure that the front and back are properly cleaned and sanitized at the end
